If you own a DME restricted BMW with an ECU manufactured before June 2020, this is the service for you.  The ECU needs to be manufactured before that date, not the vehicle. Now, you can unlock its full performance potential with our BENCH ECU Unlock Service. We offer a fast process to send your DME to us, allowing you to flash MHD or Bootmod3 tunes for enhanced driving experience after receiving it back.

How Our Service Works:

  1. Purchase the Service: Start by purchasing this service on our page.
  2. Pre-Paid Overnight Shipping: We provide a pre-paid overnight shipping return label for your convenience.
  3. DME Unlocking: We will perform the unlock within 2 business days.
  4. Return Shipping: We’ll ship your DME back to you via overnight and signed delivery service.
  5. Tune Activation: If you selected a tune, we will provide the necessary tuning license for MHD or BM3 (1 map). We will provide the wifi adapter at a discount - just select it below.
  6. Installation: Simply reinstall your DME and flash your preferred tune. You may need to clear codes.
  7. Disable OTA Updates: Make sure to turn off over-the-air updates to prevent accidental tune removal and bricking the DME. Some vehicles do not have this option. You can skip it if not.
  8. Enjoy Your tuned car!

 

Local DME Removal Service

We ensure premium insurance coverage (from you to us, and us to you) and will file claims to help cover costs for a new DME from BMW Seattle if needed. Always double-check that the correct VIN is provided to avoid registration issues.
