Description

VTT is proud to announce our Billet DUAL POINT G80 Diff Lockdown kit. If you have a fast G80 you NEED this lockdown. The factory diff bushings are soft and compliant, and allow a ton of Diff movement which is the enemy of traction.

As the G8X platform gets faster and faster each factory part is put to the test to ultimately find its limits. Currently, we are seeing extreme deflection of the diff on very hard launches, and we see reports of broken rear diff bushings. The solution is what BMW intended but never made a reality. A DUAL-POINT diff lockdown that secures by 4 points using the pucks on the bottom of the diff, and BOTH of the subframe mounting areas to secure the diff. We do this with precision CNC machined billet pucks, and a heavy-duty lockdown that will SECURELY lock your diff down to completely eliminate diff movement and improve diff stability under launching, and hard cornering. This design uses existing mounting points on the vehicle, you do NOT have to remove the subframe or the Diff to install. Simply gain access to the diff. This requires the removal of exhaust and some heat shielding, that’s it!

Each Kit includes:

  • 1 – Lockdown in choice of anodized color
  • 2 – billet pucks in anodized color for the second mounting point on the subframe
  • 1 – Factory Rear Bushing Insert Kit
  • 2 – Custom Length 12.9 Grade M14 bolts and lock nuts
  • 3 – Custom hardened steel washers
  • 4 – M6 Socket cap bolts, and washers
